It has been reported that TUF Season 1 housemates Josh Koscheck and Stephan Bonner, co-founder of NGAUGE Apparel, are tied up in a battle of their own, although not the kind you might expect as Koscheck's lawyers officially served Bonner's brand a notice of their pending lawsuit yesterday, with concern to the unauthorized use of Koscheck's image (a depiction) and name.
The two fought on opposite teams in the ground-breaking first season, although in different weight divisions on the series, but you might say the competitive fires still burn deep. When asked in an interview with fiveknuckles.com if anyone in the organization rubbed him the wrong way, the light heavyweight had the following to say:
"If anyone rubs me the wrong way," said Bonner, "it'll be Koscheck for siccing his lawyers on me... I would drop a lot of weight to fight him."
Funny enough, it was Koscheck who inspired the idea behind the line of shirts, described by "The American Psycho" as a parody of the Garbage Pail Kids from the 80s.
"He actually inspired the idea, he talks so much s--- in the Daley fight and after the fight. The whole time I see Koscheck talking s--- to him on the ground, I thought it was hilarious and I was carrying on about it... I thought it was the funniest thing, like he is just a trash talking kid at heart."
Funny or not, NGAUGE, who has received positive feedback from other fighters featured on the line of shirts will not be allowed to sell those printed with Koscheck's character on them. If you ask Bonner's opinion on the matter, he doesn't think it will be overwhelming loss of sales.
"I didn't think his was gonna sell too much anyway"
