Dana White announced today via his official twitter account that one-time UFC middleweight title challenger, and world ranked fighter Nate "The Great" Marquardt (31-10-2) will no longer be with the promotion after failing his medicals prior to UFC Live 4, scheduled for Sunday, June 26, at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.
No further details have been released, and the reasons behind the failed medical exam have yet to be disclosed. No comment has come out of Marquardt's camp as yet, but the news will come as a massive shock to many with Marquardt's highly anticipated debut at 170lbs falling through.
