Reports are that Ed "Short Fuse" Herman (20-7-0) will now be a part of the UFC Live 5 line-up scheduled for August 14, 2011, at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, WI. The veteran middleweight and TUF alumnus will replace an injured Tom Lawlor, and meet Kyle Noke (19-4-1) in five weeks time as he looks to build momentum after his June 4 TKO of Tim Credeur at the Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale.Prior to that bout, Herman was sidelined for nearly two years when he suffered a severe knee injury against Aaron Simpson in August of 2009. Fighting out of Portland, Oregon, "Short Fuse" has secured thirteen wins by way of submission and has compiled a 5-5 record since joining the promotion in 2006.
Kyle Noke made his way through the TUF reality series as well, participating in Season 11. The Dubbo, Australia, native has posted five consecutive victories and has started off a perfect 3-0 inside the octagon having stopped all three opponents. He last appeared at UFC 127 - Penn vs. Fitch where he defeated Chris Camozzi via rear naked choke at 1:35 of the first round.
