MMA Combat - Sanchez Injured, Out of UFC 135 Line-up

TUF Season 1 winner and one-time lightweight title challenger, Diego Sanchez (23-4-0), has been forced to withdraw from his UFC 135 co-main event matchup against former welterweight champion Matt Hughes (45-8-0) due to a broken hand suffered while training. UFC president Dana White announced the news on Monday via his twitter account.

“Diego Sanchez broke his hand,” White wrote on Monday. “Looking for a replacement for Hughes.”

Josh Koscheck, also a participate on TUF Season 1 and a former title-challenger in his own right has apparently answered the call, but the promotion is yet to make anything official with the event less than three weeks out.

“Got a fight in 21 days, bitches,”
wrote Koscheck. “Oh ya, 19 days then or something like that! Either way, it looks like I am in to fight Matt Hughes if he takes it?”

UFC 135 - Jones vs. Rampage will take place at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado, and will feature a light heavyweight title bout when former champ, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson (32-8-0), takes on current title holder Jon "Bones" Jones (13-1-0).
