UFC officials announced Monday a trio of fights scheduled to take place in early 2012.
Yoshihiro Akiyama (13-4-0) will make his welterweight debut at UFC 144, February 26, in Saitama, Japan, where the Japanese Judoka will battle one-time UFC title challenger Jake Shields (26-6-1).
