Sunday, September 23, Strikeforce officials announced the cancellation of Strikeforce: Melendez vs. Healy, after lightweight champion, Gilbert Melendez, was injured during training, prompting Showtime executives to remove the event all together from their broadcast time-slot next Saturday, September 29, when the promotion was set to go live from the Power Balance Pavilion in Sacramento, California....
